Quality is part of our DNA at VuDu Engineering. As a result, we are perfectly placed and expertly equipped to help clients optimise their own quality management strategies and systems.

Reflecting our focus on quality and understanding of the steps required to achieved industry recognised standards, we have developed our own fully certified and carefully considered ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management System (QMS).

This bespoke system combines the best of internal and external expertise and methodologies to ensure best practice and maximum benefits in the widest range of areas

Our team have extensive experience gained in aerospace, software development and general quality management equipping them with the skills and knowledge to assist other companies in achieving their own quality requirements - whether that’s formal certification, initiating a new QMS or improving their existing systems.

Our quality management team also includes a highly experienced lead auditor who has the skills, qualifications and training to conduct ISO9001:2015 and AS 9100D certifications.

In addition, this lead auditor is further qualified to plan, execute and report audits either as a single auditor or as a formed team lead.

QMS Gap Analysis Experts

Our team can provide robust gap analysis for organisations that need to understand the strengths and weaknesses of their quality management system. In particular, our experts can help identify any issues or areas that need addressing in advance of formal certification in the areas of project management, software development, manufacturing processes (general engineering), aerospace, production, maintenance and supply chain management.

QMS Implementation and improvement

With over 10 years’ experience of implementing and maintaining certified quality management systems both in civilian and military environments, our quality assurance team can provide independent advice and practical help to establish, maintain and improve an organisation’s quality management system. Our team can assist with:

  • The development and improvement of processes

  • Helping establish relevant key performance indicators

  • Implementing self-sustaining corrective action activities

  • The use of a risk-based approach.

2nd Party Audits (Supplier Audits)

Our team of qualified and experienced quality auditors can carry out supplier audits on behalf of clients in order to provide independent reports on performance and compliance, according to specific needs and standards. These reports can then be utilised by clients as part of their formal supplier evaluation process. We can also provide recommendations and solutions to help implement enhancements based upon our reports.

Independent Safety Audits

Independent Safety Audits (ISA) are a specific and formal activity defined under UK Defence Standard (Def Stan) 00-56. Appointed by MOD, the ISA is independent of both the Client (MOD) and the Supplier (Contractor).

The ISA role is undertaken by Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP) in accordance with an agreed Independent Safety Audit Plan (ISAP). Our team includes accredited Lead Auditors ISO 9001:2015 / AS 9100D with a broad range of experience across UAS, fixed and rotary wing air systems and C4ISTAR equipment and systems.

The ISA role recognises that fully objective safety assurance requires a view that is truly independent of the client and the supplier. In particular, the ISA must determine that the requirements of Defence Standard 00-56 and other Contractual Safety Requirements have been both understood and fully met in relation to the scope of supply.

The ISA must establish that the rigour of the System Safety Case is appropriate to the level of safety risk presented by the system and the supporting arguments / evidence is complete, and accurate.

VuDu complies with the IET/ BCS Code of Practice for Independent Safety Assessors.
